Terms of Service for Cueline

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Cueline, a teleprompter provided by Laxmi Solutions ("We", "Us", "Our") as Cueline for Web and Cueline for Android (package solutions.laxmi.cueline). By using Cueline, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The Service

Cueline lets you write, import, and read scripts hands-free with a scrolling teleprompter, including features such as timed and voice-tracked scrolling, mirror mode, camera recording, a floating overlay (Android), and remote control. Cueline works largely offline and stores your content on your device. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

2. Licence to Use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Cueline for your own lawful purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the app except as permitted by law.

3. Your Content

You retain all rights to the scripts, text, and recordings you create or import ("Your Content"). Because Your Content stays on your device and is not sent to us, you are solely responsible for it, including keeping your own backups. We are not responsible for any loss of Your Content — for example, if you clear storage, lose your device, or uninstall the app. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any content you import and that your use of it complies with the law.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Cueline to: break any law or infringe anyone's rights; record any person or setting without the consent required by your local laws; interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or its third-party providers; or misuse ads or purchases (for example, through fraudulent or automated interactions).

5. Purchases and Cueline Pro

Cueline Pro is an optional one-time purchase on Android that removes ads and unlocks Pro features. It is sold and billed by Google Play and is subject to Google Play's terms.
Pricing is shown in the app at the time of purchase (intended price: ₹299, which may vary by region, taxes, and Google Play pricing).
Refunds are handled according to Google Play's refund policy; we do not separately process payments or refunds.
Rewarded ads: as an alternative to buying Pro, you may choose to watch a rewarded ad to unlock a single Pro action once. This requires an internet connection; if no ad can be shown, the one-time unlock is not granted. Rewarded unlocks are provided "as available" and confer no lasting entitlement.
Entitlements are tied to your Google account and device as managed by Google Play.

6. Ads

The free tier of the Android app is supported by ads served through Google AdMob. By using the free tier, you agree to the display of ads. Ad-related data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Cueline Pro removes all ads. The web app does not show ads.

7. Third-Party Services

Cueline relies on third-party services, including Google Play, Google AdMob, Google's consent SDK, and your device's or browser's speech recognition. Your use of those services is subject to their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

8. Recording and Overlay — Important Notice

You are responsible for how you use recording and the floating overlay, including obtaining any consent required to record people or screens.

Overlay capture behaviour varies by device. On many devices the floating teleprompter is hidden from screen recordings and screenshots, but on some devices it may be captured in your recording. We cannot guarantee the overlay will be excluded from every device's screen capture. Use the in-app "hide from capture" option and test on your device. We are not liable for content that is or is not captured as a result of this device-dependent behaviour.

9. Disclaimers

Cueline is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that it will meet your requirements, or that voice recognition, recording, or overlay will function correctly on every device.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Laxmi Solutions will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, content, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) Cueline. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) INR 500. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

11. Termination

You may stop using Cueline at any time and uninstall it. We may suspend or discontinue the service, or any feature, at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 3, 9, 10, and 12) will survive.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory rights you have as a consumer, the courts located in Rajasthan, India will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Cueline after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
