Terms of Service for Lemma

Last updated: October 9, 2026 · Effective: October 9, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Lemma app (the "App"), made by Laxmi Solutions ("We", "Us", "Our"). By using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The App

Lemma lets you write LaTeX documents and compile them to PDF on your device. Some features are optional downloads delivered through Google Play, and some features (Snap math, conversion to Typst and premium templates) require Lemma Pro.

2. Your Content

You own the documents you create, import and compile with Lemma. They are stored on your device, and we do not receive them. You are responsible for your content and for keeping your own copies; we recommend using Git, Google Drive sync or exporting projects regularly.

3. Lemma Pro

Lemma Pro is a one-time purchase made through Google Play. Payments, refunds and order history are handled by Google Play under its terms and refund policies. Pro is tied to the Google account that bought it and can be restored on other devices using Restore purchase.

4. Third-Party Services

Optional features connect to services you choose: Google Play, Google Drive, and Git hosts such as GitHub or GitLab. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. TeX packages are downloaded from a TeX package server and are distributed under their own licences (mostly the LaTeX Project Public Licence). The App's open-source components are listed in Settings → Open-source licenses.

5. Acceptable Use

Do not use the App to break the law, infringe others' rights, or attempt to disrupt the services it connects to (for example, by abusing the TeX package server).

6. Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. TeX output depends on your documents and on third-party packages; we do not guarantee that every document compiles or that output is error-free. Always check important documents before submitting them.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of data or content, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Lemma Pro.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide notice in the App. Continuing to use the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
