Terms of Service for CurvyKids

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the CurvyKids application ("Service", "App"). CurvyKids is a learning app for young children. By installing or using the Service, you (the parent, guardian, or adult who installs it) agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

CurvyKids is designed to be used by children under the supervision of a parent or guardian. By downloading, installing, or allowing a child to use CurvyKids, you confirm that:

You are an adult (the parent, legal guardian, or a responsible adult) agreeing to these Terms on your own behalf and on behalf of the child who uses the app.
You have read, understood, and agree to comply with these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CurvyKids is a free, offline, ad-free mobile application that helps young children learn through play. The Service lets a child:

Explore letters, numbers, shapes, colors, and everyday words.
Practice tracing and learn Hindi varnamala and barakhadi.
Hear letters and words read aloud, and earn stars and stickers.

All progress is stored locally on the device. CurvyKids has no account system and no cloud, contains no advertising, and does not collect personal data.

3. No Account Required

CurvyKids does not require registration. You use the app without creating an account or providing personal information. Because there is no account, progress lives only on the device and is not recoverable by us if the device is lost, reset, or the app is uninstalled.

4. Parental Supervision and Responsibility

CurvyKids is intended to be used by children with appropriate adult supervision. As the parent or guardian, you are responsible for:

Deciding whether the app is appropriate for your child.
Supervising your child's use of the device and the app.
Managing device settings, including the device's text-to-speech engine and volume.

The "Grown-ups" area of the app is gated behind a simple puzzle to help keep settings out of children's reach.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the application, except where permitted by law.
Use the Service in any unlawful manner or for any unlawful purpose.
Attempt to disrupt or misuse the application.

6. Privacy

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference. In short: CurvyKids collects no personal data, shows no ads, and keeps everything on the device.

7. Intellectual Property

All content in the CurvyKids application — including the name, mascot, logo, illustrations, design, software, and copy — is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without written permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

CurvyKids is an educational aid and is not a substitute for professional instruction. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and audio playback depends on your device and its text-to-speech engine.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

Because CurvyKids is provided free of charge, our total liability for any claim shall not exceed ₹500 (five hundred Indian Rupees).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CurvyKids and its operator from any claims, liabilities, or expenses arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.

11. Termination

These Terms apply for as long as you use the Service. You may stop using CurvyKids at any time by uninstalling the app. We may discontinue the Service, or any feature of it, at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will survive.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India. We encourage you to contact us before pursuing formal proceedings.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will reflect material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, via an in-app notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
