Terms of Service for DevPath
Last updated: November 2, 2026 · Effective: November 2, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of DevPath, a learning app provided by Laxmi Solutions ("We", "Us", "Our") as DevPath for Android (package solutions.laxmi.devpath). By using DevPath, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. The Service
DevPath teaches developer skills through courses made up of lessons, quizzes, tests, flashcards, challenges and projects, and tracks your progress with XP, streaks and an optional daily reminder. The first three modules of every course are free to use and supported by ads; the rest of each course needs DevPath Pro (Section 6). DevPath works without an account. Course content is delivered through Google Play and kept on your device so you can learn offline. We may add, change, update or remove courses and features over time.
2. Licence to Use
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use DevPath for your own learning. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse-engineer or create derivative works of the app except as permitted by law.
3. Course Content
The lessons, questions, explanations, cheat sheets and other course material in DevPath ("Course Content") are owned by Laxmi Solutions or its licensors and are protected by copyright. You may use them for your personal learning. You may not republish, resell, scrape or bulk-download Course Content, or use it to build a competing product or train machine-learning models, without our written permission. Code examples in the Course Content may be used in your own projects.
4. Your Progress
Your progress, answers and settings are stored on your device and are not sent to us. You are responsible for keeping them, for example through Android backup. We are not responsible for lost progress, for example if you reset progress, clear storage, lose your device or uninstall the app. When we update a course, we aim to keep your progress, but some of it may change or no longer apply when lessons are restructured or removed.
5. Educational Purpose Only
Course Content is provided for general education. It may contain errors, become out of date, or not apply to your system or situation. Commands, configuration and code shown in lessons can change or delete data, stop services, or affect security when you run them. Try them on a system where mistakes are safe, such as a virtual machine or test environment, and check official documentation before using them on systems that matter. Completing a course, passing a test or earning XP is not a certification or qualification.
6. Free Modules, Ads, DevPath Pro and the Ad-Free Hour
- What is free. Modules 1 to 3 of every course are free. Later modules are listed in the app but can only be opened with DevPath Pro.
- Ads. The free version of DevPath shows ads served by Google AdMob. By using it, you agree to the display of ads. Ad-related data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
- DevPath Pro is an optional one-time purchase that unlocks every module of every DevPath course, including courses we add in the future, and removes all ads in DevPath. It is not a subscription. "Future courses" means courses we publish in DevPath while we offer the app; it is not a promise to publish any particular course, or to keep the app or a course available forever (Section 11). It is sold and billed by Google Play and is subject to Google Play's terms. Its price is shown in the app before you buy (intended price: ₹299 in India; prices in other countries, and taxes, are set through Google Play and may vary).
- Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policy; we do not process payments or refunds ourselves. If a purchase is refunded or charged back, Pro is removed: modules after the free ones lock again and courses downloaded to your device are removed. Your progress is kept, and you can download courses again to continue with the free modules.
- Pro belongs to the Google account used to buy it and is restored on any device signed in to that account through Restore purchase. If the device's Google Play account changes to one without Pro, the app treats Pro as removed until you restore it on the right account.
- Checking Pro. DevPath checks Pro with Google Play when you open the app. It keeps working offline for up to 30 days after the last successful check; after that, or if the device clock is set back, the app needs to be online once before paid modules open again.
- The ad-free hour. You may choose to watch a rewarded ad to use DevPath without ads for one hour (it does not unlock modules); watching again adds time, up to 24 hours ahead. The hour is granted only when the ad is watched to the end while your device is online. It is provided "as available" (an ad may not always be available), gives no lasting right, and ends early if the time can't be confirmed, for example after the device clock is changed.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: break any law or infringe anyone's rights while using DevPath; interfere with, overload or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the app or the services it relies on; circumvent any technical measures in the app, including ads, purchase checks, locked modules or the ad-free hour; or misuse ads or purchases (for example, through fraudulent or automated interactions, or tools that fake purchases).
8. Third-Party Services and Links
DevPath relies on third-party services, including Google Play (distribution, course downloads and billing), Google AdMob (ads) and, if you turn it on, Android backup. Some lessons link to other websites. Your use of those services and websites is subject to their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
9. Disclaimers
DevPath is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app or content downloads will be uninterrupted or error-free, that the Course Content is complete, accurate or current, or that it will meet your requirements.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Laxmi Solutions will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, progress, systems, profits or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) DevPath or the Course Content, including any damage caused by running commands or code shown in lessons. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for DevPath Pro, or (b) INR 500. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
11. Termination
You may stop using DevPath at any time and uninstall it. We may suspend or discontinue the app, any course or any feature at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 3, 5, 9, 10 and 12) will survive.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory rights you have as a consumer, the courts located in Rajasthan, India will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of DevPath after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
