Terms of Service for Reflex
Last updated: June 12, 2026 · Effective: June 12, 2026
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Reflex application ("Service", "App"). By installing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Reflex, you confirm that:
- You are at least 13 years old.
- You have read and understood these Terms and agree to comply with them.
- You will use the Service only on a device you own or are authorised to control.
2. Description of Service
Reflex is an Android automation app that runs entirely on your device. It lets you:
- Trigger actions from gestures and device events (shake, flip, pick-up, taps on the floating button, volume keys, charging, connectivity changes, and more).
- Run actions such as taking a screenshot, toggling Do Not Disturb, launching apps, adjusting brightness, and other device controls.
- Chain actions into multi-step workflows with optional conditions.
- Unlock additional capacity and features via a one-time Reflex Pro purchase.
Reflex requires the Android Accessibility Service to detect gestures and perform actions. It uses this service solely for automation and does not read or transmit your screen content.
3. No Accounts
Reflex has no registration or login. Your shortcuts and settings live on your device. You are responsible for backing up or migrating your device data; uninstalling the app or clearing its storage permanently removes your shortcuts and history.
4. Your Responsibilities
By using Reflex, you agree that:
- You will configure and use automations on your own device and in compliance with applicable law.
- You will not use the Service, or the device permissions it relies on (including the Accessibility Service), to harm, deceive, surveil, or interfere with other people or their devices.
- You will not reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the application, or circumvent any payment, access-control, or security feature.
- You are solely responsible for the effects of the actions you configure (for example, an automation that changes system settings, locks the screen, or launches an app).
5. Permissions
Reflex requests only the permissions needed for the features you use — including Accessibility, display-over-other-apps, sensors, phone state, coarse location (for the "At a location" condition), and connectivity state. You may grant or revoke these in Android Settings at any time; revoking a permission disables the related feature. Permissions and their uses are described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Reflex Pro and Payments
6.1 One-Time Purchase
Reflex Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed through Google Play. Pricing is displayed in-app at the time of purchase. There is no subscription.
6.2 Free Tier
The free tier is limited (including a cap on the number of shortcuts) and shows advertisements. Reflex Pro removes the limits and ads.
6.3 Refunds
Refunds are governed by Google Play's refund policy. We do not process payments or refunds directly.
7. Advertisements
Free-tier users may see advertisements served by Google AdMob. By using the free tier you agree to the display of these ads. In the EEA/UK, a consent form is shown before personalised ads are served. Purchasing Reflex Pro removes all advertising.
8. Privacy
Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference. Reflex processes gestures, sensor data, and screen interactions entirely on your device and does not upload your screen content.
9. Intellectual Property
All content in the Reflex application — including the name, logo, design, software, and copy — is owned by or licensed to us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without written permission.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Automation triggers rely on device sensors and system events and are inherently heuristic. We do not warrant that any trigger will always fire, that any action will always succeed, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Do not rely on Reflex for safety-critical, medical, or emergency purposes.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA OR DEVICE MISCONFIGURATION — ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, OR FROM ACTIONS YOU CONFIGURE IT TO PERFORM.
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ₹500 (five hundred Indian Rupees), whichever is greater.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Reflex and its operator from any claims, liabilities, or expenses arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any third-party rights or applicable law.
13. Termination
These Terms apply for as long as you use the Service. You may stop using Reflex at any time by uninstalling it. We may discontinue the Service or release updates that change its features. Purchased entitlements are handled by Google Play.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India. We encourage you to contact us before pursuing formal proceedings.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. For material changes we will surface a notice in the app or update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
