Terms of Service for Splice

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Splice ("Service", "App", "Website"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Splice, you confirm that:

You are at least 13 years old.
You have read and understood these Terms and agree to comply with them.
You have the right to use and edit any files (e.g., SVGs) you import into the Service.

2. Description of Service

Splice is a multi-file vector workspace for creating and editing SVG graphics. Editing happens on your device — your files are stored locally (in your browser or the app's private storage) and are not uploaded to our servers. The Service is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising.

3. No Accounts

Splice does not require you to create an account. Your projects and settings are stored locally on your device, and you are responsible for backing up or exporting any work you wish to keep.

4. Your Responsibilities

You agree that you will:

Only import or edit content you own or have the right to use.
Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to infringe others' intellectual property or other rights.
Not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or misuse the Service or its advertising.

You are solely responsible for the content you create, import, and export with Splice.

5. Advertisements

Splice is free and supported by ads served by Google AdSense (web) and Google AdMob (app). By using the Service you agree that we may display such advertising. Ads and any data used to serve them are handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Privacy

Your use of Splice is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how data is handled. Because your designs stay on your device, you control them directly.

7. Intellectual Property

Your content: You retain all rights to the designs and files you create with Splice. We claim no ownership over your content.
The Service: Splice, including its software, branding, and design, is owned by us and protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or software beyond using the Service as intended.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that exported files will meet your requirements. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of important work.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or designs, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or any third-party rights.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts located in India shall have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date above will change. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
